Parallax Restaurant & Lounge….An upscale Tremont restaurant that I managed to successfully dine at without breaking the bank… Thank you Parallax Happy hour…  

Those willing to sit bar side from 5 to 7 can enjoy a discounted drink while feasting on the free Spicy Wasabi Pea’s and bread and herb dipping Oil….  And though the freebies were delicious enough… Nick and I were interested in putting the happy hour menu to the test…..     

Mussels ($7), Oyster Shooters ($8), Cucumber Maki ($4) and Spicy Tuna ($5) Sushi Roll,  Sesame Seaweed Salad ($4), Spicy Tuna Burger & Shoe String fries ($10) accompanied by a Lucid Absinthe ($6) and fine red wine ($6).  

Overall Consensus:  Quite delicious…. I could dine on that spicy tuna burger for the rest of my life.  And though I ordered the oyster shooters like a pro.. I must admit I was totally shocked when out came two oysters in shot glasses filled with vodka… So naive Bethany, so naive…  And though my little oyster was quite tasty and left me with an unexpected yet pleasantly warm feeling….. i’ll likely put the $8 toward a heartier menu selections during my next visit…
